The sequential method for adding polyacrylamide

The sequential method for adding polyacrylamide and other flocculants in combination:
When using composite flocculants, it is necessary to pay attention to the order of addition and the time interval between additions. The combination of PAC and PAM is to allow PAC to first neutralize the charge/colloid to form small flocs, and then further increase the floc volume to facilitate sufficient precipitation. Due to the short reaction time of polyaluminum chloride PAC, strong mixing is required after addition, while PAM has a longer reaction time. When mixing, pay attention to first being strong and then weak - first strong is to mix evenly and then weak is to avoid damaging the flocs. Polyacrylamide belongs to coagulants, while polyaluminum chloride belongs to coagulants. Generally, coagulants are added first and then polyacrylamide. However, for safety reasons, it is recommended to determine the order of addition based on experimental results. The dosing point, dosage, dosing time, and mixing strength need to be determined experimentally. Remember not to use the two drugs together, otherwise it will affect the effectiveness and increase the cost of use.
