The Specific Selection of Polyacrylamide in Coal Washing Industry
Many customers in the coal washing industry do not know how to select the type of polyacrylamide for coal washing plants. Today, I will explain to you the specific selection of polyacrylamide in coal washing industry.
Generally speaking, coal washing plants use anionic polyacrylamide, with a molecular weight of 8 million to 18 million. However, there are also special cases where nonionic or cationic polyacrylamide is used.
In the coal washing process, for the muddy coal raw water, the solution of the coagulant polymerized aluminum chloride needs to be added first, then the prepared flocculant anionic polyacrylamide solution needs to be added. After that, the muddy coal wastewater will quickly undergo flocculation reaction and produce precipitation, making the coal particles settle down. This is the application process of anionic polyacrylamide in coal washing plants.
When can cationic polyacrylamide be used in coal washing plants? It is used in the mud sludge pressing process. When used, a suitable ionic degree cationic polyacrylamide solution needs to be added to the water, so that the mud sludge precipitate can be pressed into a mud cake. Among them, cationic polyacrylamide plays the role of a dehydrator. Low-cation cationic polyacrylamide is mostly used, with ionic degree of 10 and 20 ionic degree. In addition to using anionic polyacrylamide and cationic polyacrylamide, some coal washing plants also use nonionic polyacrylamide, mainly depending on the water quality. --Y-A
