Methods of Using Sewage Treatment Bacteria
1. Shut off the biochemistry pond's inlets and outlets, keep stirring running in the anoxic pond, pre-aerate the aerating equipment in the aerobic pond for 2 hours to ensure water's dissolved oxygen reaches 2-4mg/L, and maintain the dissolved oxygen in the anaerobic (anoxic) pond below 0.5mg/L; control the pH of the biochemistry pond between 6-9 and that of the aerobic pond at 7-8.5 for enhanced activity. The appropriate temperature range for the biochemistry pond is 10°-35°.
2. Mix solid powder bacteria with wastewater before adding, with a ratio of 1:10 dilution, and then divide the mixed bacteria into the previously stirred and aerated aerobic and anoxic ponds.
3. With the inlet and outlet closed for two days, the organic matter in the water is limited, and bacteria require a lot of organic matter for reproduction. Provide external nutrients such as glucose, urea, and phosphoric acid hydrogen through artificial feeding.
4. Keep the aeration on for 24 hours to activate microorganisms, adhere to the bed, and reproduce to reach active status.
5. It is recommended to adjust the inflow gradually to minimize the impact on the already cultivated bacteria. On the first day, open 1/5 of the normal inflow, on the second day, 2/5, on the third day, 3/5, on the fourth day, 4/5, and on the fifth day, the normal inflow and outflow can resume.
